Irgalom - Follow-up recorded
Irgalom have recorded the follow-up to Autumn Psalms, the new EP is going to be called Winter Hymns. The music has more of a melodic death metal nature with only slight black metal influences. In the meantime, writing for a third release called Spring Anthems has been completed. The music will be a bit different again, with more black metal mixed in and the melodeath influences being gone.

Abandoned Mortuary - the newest addition to the family
The ever growing Abran family has a new member that we hope you will all welcome. Abandoned Mortuary is representing the more brutal side of the label, playing a fine blend of old school death metal, thrash metal and punk hardcore. The band's debut album Emotional Wasteland is to be released soon. If you find the musical style and the title sounding familiar, it is no coincidence: Abandoned Mortuary was built around songs that did not make it to Internal Excavation's debut. Not because of their quality, simply because there was already enough material to absorb for the band members. As Abandoned Mortuary is a one man band, it is very convenient to find enough time to 'get together', learn the songs and prepare for the recording that will take place within a few weeks from now. But it will not be all 'leftover' material, a few fresh songs have just been written, specifically for the upcoming debut that will be released on cassette tape.

The Exit Wound have recorded rhythm guitars for a new EP, tentatively called Nothing to Say. The EP is not supposed to be the next logical step in the evolution of the band's sound, nor is it an indication of what to expect on the next full-length. It is rather an excursion to a more rock-oriented musical territory. Still, the usual tempo and signature changes, odd song structures, instrumental tracks, etc. will be there. No blastbeat this time, though.

Parched Throat - drums recorded
Drum tracks have been recorded for the four songs that will serve as an introduction to the music of Parched Throat. Recording went nice and smooth for all parties involved, except for the drum kit that had to suffer some rather severe beating!

The Wheelers - heading for the studio
The Wheelers are practicing for the upcoming studio session in September. The band is going to record guitar tracks for three new songs, tentatively called All That Money Can Buy, Falling On Deaf Ears and Without Or Within. Expect fast tempos, catchy riffs, some melodic singing as well as harsh vocals, and an overall positive attitude.

The Grey Eminence can be caught in the act live on the 29th of August, playing together with [tagless] and other bands at Rocktogon. The band is also practicing for a studio recording session.

The Exit Wound - recording done
The recording of the three new The Exit Wound songs has been completed. Meanwhile material for the sophomore full length is almost written. Expect more diversity than what you can hear on Lonely Path.

Internal Excavation - line-up change
Internal Excavation had their first rehearsal with new recruit Jirzsi today. Jirzsi is not a new name in the scene at all: he had played with important bands like Human Error, Jack, Din-Addict or Insistence. His arrival means another change in plan for the band's debut, as Jirzsi is bringing fresh ideas to the plate - which are more than welcome, it is really going to be a change for the better as you will get more music on the debut than previously announced.

Internal Excavation - change in plan
Internal Excavation have finished songwriting for their first full length. Yes correct, there has been a change in plan, instead of a split the band's debut is going to be a separate release entitled Emotional Wasteland. Expect about 24 minutes full of thrashy chops (13 in number).

The Exit Wound - studio booked at last
Original plans about getting The Exit Wound in the studio eventually fell apart due to technical reasons. However, studio has been booked for the second Saturday of March, so slowly but surely the new songs are going to be captured on tape (or hard disk, for that matter).

Internal Excavation - songwriting
Internal Excavation are busy with writing songs for the upcoming split. Expect about 10 songs with around 18-20 minutes worth of material. (That's right, it will be about fast, rather straight-forward tunes.) So far they have 6 songs so still there is work to do. Some titles: At A Loss For Words, Venomous, Exposed, and of course No Excuse.

The Grey Eminence - new album in 2012
If you happened to be in hearing distance of the rehearsal room of The Grey Eminence during an actual rehearsal lately, you might have noticed sounds you had not been familiar with. That's right, the band is working on new songs for a full length to be recorded during the first half of next year. Get ready for Cold War, The Resurrection, I Remember and other rocking tunes that offer more than your average wall of sound if you are willing to listen.

The Exit Wound - going to studio in January
Abran Records' very own The Exit Wound is returning to Noiselab Studio to record three brand new songs for a compilation to be released in 2012. The new songs are called Alternate Reality, Drowning in the Drought and Idle Minds. The title of the compilation is yet to be revealed but it will contain songs from The Grey Eminence, The Wheelers, Number Our Days and hopefully a couple of other projects, too - besides The Exit Wound of course.

Internal Excavation - welcome to the family!
The latest addition to the roster is a grindcore/crust project called Internal Excavation. It is another project rising from the ashes of The Wheelers. The song No Excuse off The Wheelers debut The First Step is a good indication of what you can expect. That song is actually going to be re-recorded for a split released hopefully before the end of 2012. The band to share the disc with is yet to be named.
