About

There are things that never get old. They may go out of fashion but they still retain their strength and charm. Rock 'n' Roll might have gone through hard times but it is still alive and kicking. The music played with guitar, bass and drums is still there and shows no sign of aging.
It was rock music itself that brought together two friends whose friendship is another thing that has passed the test of time. After having met at a small rock festival - both playing in different bands that night -, the members of the Parched Throat project kept in touch and have fought many battles together, or separately but still backing up each other. After having played together for a couple of brief periods in various groups - a few shows and the recording of two songs - geographical reasons made it impossible for them to do music together.
Yet the desire to create something together stayed there. The wish did not remain unfulfilled and the result is Parched Throat, a project playing what you can call 'Classic Rock'. The music is not complex or heavy, but it has a driving rhythm you want to tap your feet to and you can feel the band had fun making it. It is not about sex, it is not about drugs, but it is still Rock 'n' Roll!

Parched Throat - drums recorded

Drum tacks were finally recorded today for the Parched Throat EP. Mixing is next, watch out for a summer release date.

Lead and bass guitar tracks were recorded today for the upcoming Distant Shores EP of Parched Throat.

Parched Throat - recording new EP

Parched Throat laid rhythm guitar tracks for the upcoming EP that was originally planned to be released last year. Besides the originally planned five new songs the EP will contain two extra instrumental tracks, too.

Parched Throat - songwriting mode

Parched Throat are writing songs for an EP tentatively called The Test of Time, due out in the first half of 2014! Expect five new songs and the four songs released on the Viable Mutations Vol.1 compilation added as bonus tracks.

The Wheelers, The Exit Wound, Parched Throat - new songs released on compilation

The long awaited compilation album Viable Mutations Vol.1 is finally out, containing new songs by The Wheelers, The Exit Wound and Parched Throat. Four songs by each band, one off the respective debuts of The Wheelers and The Exit Wound and three new by both. This is the first physical release featuring Parched Throat.

The Parched Throat songs are finally available online for all who have been wondering what to expect from the project. Expect pure rock and roll and get ready for a time travel, back to the golden age or rock before the invention of Autotune and digital drum editing!

Parched Throat - drums recorded

Drum tracks have been recorded for the four songs that will serve as an introduction to the music of Parched Throat. Recording went nice and smooth for all parties involved, except for the drum kit that had to suffer some rather severe beating!

Studio has been booked for the next recording session of the debut material for Parched Throat: drum will be recorded on the 19th of August.
