Internal Excavation

About

Internal Excavation was given birth by a passion for old school thrash/death metal and edgy hardcore punk, you can say their music is the fruit of the union of those styles. No epic arrangements, no melodic interludes: fast, rather short tunes with the occasional blastbeat is what you get here. You may see members of the band wearing Repulsion or Napalm Death t-shirts, but influences of groups like early Seupultura or Terrorizer are also present in their sound. Internal Excavation is certainly not about re-inventing the wheel.
Apropos “the wheel”: the project’s seed was sown with the track No Excuse, written while two members were still playing in The Wheelers a few years back. While No Excuse was a cool track to close shows with, it felt out of place on the setlist with its more brutal approach. Now among the company of tunes like Blame the Victim, Unclean or Fury, the song has finally found its proper place.
The band's debut Venomous was recorded in NoiseLab Studio during the summer of 2013, it contains 11 original tracks and a cover.
Make sure you catch the band live as their shows are always fun to watch with intensity taken to the next level and a powerful stage presence delivered by experienced veterans who used to play in important bands like Human Error, Jack and Din-Addict.

Internal Excavation - line-up change

Internal Excavation had their first rehearsal with new recruit Jirzsi today. Jirzsi is not a new name in the scene at all: he had played with important bands like Human Error, Jack, Din-Addict or Insistence. His arrival means another change in plan for the band's debut, as Jirzsi is bringing fresh ideas to the plate - which are more than welcome, it is really going to be a change for the better as you will get more music on the debut than previously announced.

08/04/2012

Internal Excavation - change in plan

Internal Excavation have finished songwriting for their first full length. Yes correct, there has been a change in plan, instead of a split the band's debut is going to be a separate release entitled Emotional Wasteland. Expect about 24 minutes full of thrashy chops (13 in number).

01/03/2012

Internal Excavation - songwriting

Internal Excavation are busy with writing songs for the upcoming split. Expect about 10 songs with around 18-20 minutes worth of material. (That's right, it will be about fast, rather straight-forward tunes.) So far they have 6 songs so still there is work to do. Some titles: At A Loss For Words, Venomous, Exposed, and of course No Excuse.

17/01/2012

Internal Excavation - welcome to the family!

The latest addition to the roster is a grindcore/crust project called Internal Excavation. It is another project rising from the ashes of The Wheelers. The song No Excuse off The Wheelers debut The First Step is a good indication of what you can expect. That song is actually going to be re-recorded for a split released hopefully before the end of 2012. The band to share the disc with is yet to be named.
