the Arbiter

About

The hour of trial is near. It is not worth trying to escape, it will catch you anyway. The Arbiter seems to be aware of this fact as you cannot find anything rushed in their music. Slowly, heavily pounding along, calmly as the heartbeat of someone who has nothing to lose. Apparently the goal is not to escape the prosecutor but to look him firmly in the eye and challenge him.
Being influenced by the likes of Candlemass, Trouble, Krux or Veni Domine but also by heavier bands like Paramaecium, The Arbiter raises the flag of doom high, while adding their own flavour in the mix. The Arbiter is not trying to explore new grounds, they simply re-visit a ground explored by others, looking for undiscovered treasures.
Let the treasure hunt begin!

The Arbiter - Recording debut

Slow music, slow progress... There has been a long silence around the Arbiter but finally things are happening. Rhythm and bass guitars have been recorded for the debut, the record will definitely be out in 2018.

The Arbiter - slowly but surely

The making of the debut of the Arbiter is taking place much slower than originally planned. There are a lot of musical ideas, and finally the drafts of a couple of songs have been built of them. The band is planning to continue writing and start recording later this year.

The Arbiter - the flag of doom raised high

Welcome the latest addition to the family: the Arbiter, a project playing what the world knows as doom metal: heavy, slow, epic music that while not being exactly happy, still can be uplifting - or at least comforting - in its own special way.
